Dispatch Rider

Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver documents, parcels, products, and other items to customers, clients, offices, and designated locations.
• Plan efficient routes and ensure timely delivery of assigned items.
• Confirm delivery addresses and recipient details before leaving the office.
• Handle packages carefully to prevent damage, loss, or tampering.
• Obtain signatures, delivery confirmations, or other required proof of delivery.
• Collect payments or documents from customers when assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Communicate with the office regarding delivery status, delays, traffic conditions, or other challenges.
• Conduct routine checks on the motorcycle before and after daily assignments.
• Ensure the motorcycle is kept clean, secure, and in good working condition.
• Report mechanical problems, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Comply with all road traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers and members of the public.
• Safeguard company property, documents, packages, and other items entrusted to you.
• Assist with general errands and other duties assigned by management when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent.
• Proven years of experience as a Dispatch Rider or in a similar delivery role.
• Must possess a valid Nigerian motorcycle licence and other required vehicle documents.
• Good knowledge of local roads, routes, and major locations.
• Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, honest, and responsible.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use Google Maps or other navigation applications.
• Physically fit and able to work under different weather and traffic conditions.
• Ability to handle packages and documents responsibly.
• Must be familiar with basic motorcycle checks and maintenance.
• Knowledge of the local area is an added advantage.
