Responsibilities:
Business/Sales Strategy:
- Develop and implement a robust business strategy to achieve company objectives and maximize market penetration.
- Analyze sales data, market feedback, and customer insights to continuously improve product offerings and customer experience.
- Set ambitious revenue and growth targets and lead the team to achieve and exceed them.
Market Research and Client Relationship Management:
- Conduct comprehensive market research and monitor industry developments/ emerging market trends to identify potential target segments, edge competitors, and key industry trends.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals to expand our customer base.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, Dealers, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
Media Strategy Development:
- Develop comprehensive media strategies and campaigns that integrate both digital and traditional channels to enhance brand visibility and market reach.
- Identify GDX Equip’s key target audiences and tailor media plans to effectively engage mid-tier and top-tier furniture makers, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.
Campaign Execution & Media Buying:
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of media campaigns, including planning, budgeting, and negotiating media placements across various platforms such as social media, print, and digital outlets.
- Optimize media spend to ensure maximum ROI and effective resource allocation with a keen focus on the unique demands of the furniture and woodworking markets.
- Collaborate with the Sales/Marketing/Media/Engineering team to create effective promotional campaigns and marketing strategies
Content & Messaging Alignment:
- Collaborate closely with content creators and creative teams to ensure all media assets reflect GDX Equip’s brand voice, technical expertise, and commitment to innovation in the industrial equipment space.
- Guide the creation of compelling ad copies, visuals, multimedia content, and storytelling techniques that resonate with GDX Equip’s target audience.
Analytics & Optimization:
- Monitor key performance indicators and analyze campaign data to generate actionable insights.
- Stay abreast of emerging media trends and industry-specific market research to refine and enhance campaign strategies in the context of the competitive furniture manufacturing landscape.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA will be an added advantage, but not mandatory.
- Experience: Proven track record of at least 5-10 years of successful business development experience in the power tools, industrial machinery, and consumables industry or a related sector.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing large deals and partnerships.
- Leadership Abilities: Good leadership and communication skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian market, industry trends, and key players.
- Strategic Thinker: Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proactivity: Proactive and self-motivated individual with a passion for driving business growth.
- Fast-paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
- Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects and business initiatives
- Age Requirement: Below 38 Years
Key Performance Indicators:
- Brand Awareness: Increase in overall brand awareness and media reach.
- Audience Engagement: Growth in audience engagement across media channels (likes, shares, comments, etc.)
- Lead Generation: Improvement in conversion rates and quality lead generation from media campaigns.
- Media ROI: Achieve optimal ROI on media spend, as measured by cost-per-acquisition and overall campaign profitability.
- Campaign Execution: Timely and effective execution of media plans and campaigns.
Location: Lagos
Remuneration: 450,000 – 850,000
