We're seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes expertise and a security-first mindset to help operate and secure our infrastructure on DigitalOcean. You'll own our DigitalOcean Kubernetes Service (DOKS) clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security posture — hardening workloads, managing secrets, and ensuring compliance.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate DigitalOcean Kubernetes Service (DOKS) clusters across dev/staging/production
- Build and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests for application deployments
- Configure DO Load Balancers, VPCs, and Ingress controllers (Nginx/Traefik) for cluster networking
- Manage node pools, autoscaling, and cluster resource optimization on DOKS
- Implement GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux) for declarative, auditable deployments
- Implement Kubernetes security best practices on DOKS — RBAC, NetworkPolicies, Pod Security Standards, admission controllers (OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno).
- Secure container images: vulnerability scanning (Trivy, Grype), image signing (Cosign), enforcing minimal/hardened base images.
- Manage secrets securely (Vault, Sealed Secrets, or External Secrets Operator) — never plaintext in manifests or repos • Configure DigitalOcean Cloud Firewalls and VPC network policies for defense-in-depth.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BSC
- 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
