Desktop App Developer
Job descriptions & requirements
WarbleLive is building a mission-critical, offline-first ticket verification system designed for live events — where internet reliability cannot be assumed, and performance at the gate is non-negotiable.
To support this, we’re hiring a Desktop App Developer to own the local authority application that powers offline verification and real-time check-ins.
This role is ideal for engineers with experience in:
Core Systems & Architecture
* Designing offline-first, local-first architectures where the Single Source of Truth lives on-device
* Building desktop applications with Electron or Tauri (Rust experience is a strong advantage)
* Advanced use of SQLite in high-concurrency environments, including WAL mode and write-optimization strategies
* Local network programming (Node.js or Go), serving HTTP traffic and managing WebSockets for real-time scanner feedback
Data Integrity & Reliability
* Implementing secure device authorization and gatekeeping logic on local networks
* Designing robust state reconciliation workflows to sync local SQLite data back to cloud databases post-event
* Engineering for high concurrency, low latency, and long-running stability on consumer hardware
Performance & Resilience
* Handling asynchronous I/O and concurrency under peak load
* Implementing automated local backups and graceful degradation during network instability
* Optimizing memory and CPU usage for 8+ hour event runtimes
If you enjoy building systems that must work under pressure — and want to solve real-world infrastructure problems in live events — this role is for you.
⚠️ Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
