Responsibilities:
Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Identify and develop business opportunities through cooperatives, market associations, trade unions, community groups, aggregators, clusters, and other strategic channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective partners to drive business growth.
- Develop initiatives and strategies to increase market penetration and customer acquisition.
- Create opportunities to cross-sell and promote the company’s products within existing partner networks.
- Conduct business presentations, product demonstrations, and stakeholder engagement meetings.
Sales & Marketing:
- Drive the sales of microinsurance products to achieve assigned business targets.
- Support the implementation of the company’s marketing and sales strategies.
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to develop and execute sales strategies for specific prospects and markets.
- Handle the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship building to negotiation and business closure.
- Generate a minimum of five (5) new business opportunities quarterly.
Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Educate customers and partners on the company's products, services, and processes.
- Address customer enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback to support service improvement and product development.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Claims Support & Reporting:
- Assist in claims investigation processes and provide timely feedback to management.
- Monitor partner activities and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Provide market intelligence on industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
- Prepare periodic business development and performance reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised institution.
- Minimum of 2–3 years' proven experience in Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, or a related role.
- Experience in Insurance, Microinsurance, or a similar industry will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Strong business development and sales skills.
