About Manukwa Atelier

Manukwa Atelier is a contemporary African interior architecture and design studio specializing in high-end residential, hospitality, workplace and commercial projects. We are seeking a highly organized, technically competent and detail-oriented Design Supervisor to join our team and help translate design concepts into buildable, coordinated and well-executed projects.

Role Overview

The Design Supervisor will serve as the bridge between concept design and project execution. The ideal candidate must possess strong architectural and technical design skills, excellent coordination abilities, and a deep understanding of construction documentation and interior fit-out processes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both design and execution and is passionate about ensuring that projects move smoothly from concept to reality.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the design team's day-to-day activities.
• Prepare and review detailed working drawings and construction documentation.
• Develop and coordinate architectural, interior and joinery drawings.
• Produce high-quality 3D visualizations and presentations.
• Review layouts for functionality, circulation, proportions and buildability.
• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, monitor design implementation and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with project supervisors, contractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Prepare specifications, schedules and material documentation.
• Ensure design intent is accurately translated into execution.
• Identify design clashes, technical risks and coordination issues before site implementation.
• Participate in client presentations and design reviews.
• Maintain drawing quality standards and documentation procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum of 3–5 years post-graduate professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Revit
• V-Ray / Enscape / D5 Render or equivalent rendering software
• Adobe Photoshop
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
• Excellent understanding and producing of working drawings and construction documentation.
• Ability to produce accurate layouts and space planning solutions.
• Good understanding of interior fit-out, joinery, ceiling, flooring, lighting and furniture detailing.
• Ability to interpret and coordinate consultant information.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
