Job summary
We are seeking a professional and experienced architect to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of various projects. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet specifications and client requirements while adhering to the company
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Produces sketches, drawings, and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using computer-aided design programs (CAD) and hand-drawing skills
- Design buildings and produce detailed drawings according to best practices and standards of contemporary designs, using the best design software
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of designs.
- Performs research and maintains a working knowledge of trends and new developments in the interior design and architecture worlds.
- Assist in developing and/or coordinating the development of detailed working drawings and specifications after approval for the project has been obtained.
- Supervise site construction to ensure that it conforms with required standards
- Use 3D illustration or visualization for projects and presentations
- ·Ensure safety and functionality while minding aesthetics
- Ensure contractors conform to building policies and use adequate materials as required
- Ensure work is delivered within deadlines
- Ensure design aligns with policies and regulations i.e., cross-ventilation law, minimum space requirements, etc.
- Stay updated on new trends, building materials, and advancements in architectural practices.
- Read and analyse existing blueprints, construction drawings, and plans
- Support the Operation team and Project Managers with timelines, scheduling, budgeting, project documentation, and project delivery.
- Manage the company’s corporate prototype designs, ensuring design standards are met with an overall focus on reducing production costs
- Send a monthly report to the head of design and the MD
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the MD.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, interior design, or other relevant social science.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years of practical work experience in architecture and design,
- Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
- Professional certification or membership in architectural bodies is an advantage.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.

- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and partners. (Preferred)
- Creative thinker with a flair for design and a strategic approach to marketing. (Preferred)
- Ability to work on multiple projects, balancing both design and marketing responsibilities. (Preferred)
