Job summary

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Deputy Manager to support the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of both the Travel and Education teams. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, lead team performance, ensure exceptional customer service, and contribute to business growth.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Travel and Education teams.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance and service delivery.
  • Ensure timely processing of travel bookings, visa applications, admissions, and other client services.
  • Resolve escalated client complaints and ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with airlines, embassies, institutions, partners, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Review reports, monitor sales performance, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational processes, policies, and service improvements.
  • Conduct staff coaching, performance reviews, and on-the-job training where required.
  • Collaborate with Management on strategic initiatives, budgeting, and departmental planning.
  • Prepare operational and performance reports for Management.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager or Management.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Travel & Tourism, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in travel, education consulting, or a related service industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple teams and achieve operational targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of travel operations, visa processing, and international admissions is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
