Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Prepare draft versions of weekly and monthly financial reports for review by the Finance Manager.
- Supervise the processing of day-to-day accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved financial procedures.
- Perform detailed reviews of ledger entries, reconciliations, and schedules prepared by the accounting team.
- Liaise with the Financial Accountant to ensure the timely preparation and payment of taxes, insurance, and other statutory obligations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, preparing requested schedules and helping to resolve queries efficiently.
- Assist the Finance Manager in conducting performance management processes for subordinates.
- Deputize for the Finance Manager in their absence on operational matters.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide data to support the Finance Manager in advising management on projects, market trends, and financial regulations.
- Assist in analyzing alternative sources of finance and their implications.
Requirements:
- Minimum BSc
- 4-7 years of previous work experience in similar role
