Deposit Mobilization Officer
Job summary
The Deposit Mobilization Officer will be responsible for sourcing, acquiring and growing low-cost and stable deposits from High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), institutional investors, Asset Management Companies, investment firms and other affluent clients.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire HNIs, Asset Management Companies, pension/investment firms, family offices, institutional investors and other high-value depositors.
- Mobilize savings, call and other low-cost deposits, with emphasis on stable and low-interest-bearing funds.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective depositors and consistently achieve agreed deposit mobilization targets.
- Build and manage relationships with CEOs, CFOs, Treasurers, Investment Managers, Fund Managers, Trustees and other key decision-makers.
- Structure competitive deposit propositions that balance client returns with the institution's cost of funds.
- Negotiate deposit pricing and tenors within approved parameters to ensure funds are raised at the lowest commercially viable interest rates.
- Identify opportunities to convert clients' idle cash and investment balances into deposits.
- Deepen existing relationships to increase deposit balances.
- Monitor deposit maturities and proactively engage clients to ensure renewals and retention of funds.
- Develop strategic relationships with Asset Management Companies to attract institutional and pooled funds.
- Track market liquidity, competitor pricing, interest-rate trends and client behaviour to support effective deposit pricing.
- Work closely with Treasury, Investment and Relationship Management teams to ensure effective deployment and management of mobilized funds.
- Prepare regular reports on deposit inflows, outflows, pricing, prospects, cost of funds and target achievement.
- Ensure all business development activities comply with the institution's policies, regulatory requirements and KYC/AML standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Relevant professional certification in banking, finance, investment management or relationship management is an advantage.
- 2+ years' experience in deposit mobilization, liability generation, treasury sales, private banking, corporate banking or relationship management, preferably with a proven HNI/institutional client portfolio.
- Demonstrable track record of raising low-cost deposits and managing high-value relationships.
- Existing relationships with HNIs, asset managers, institutional investors, family offices or corporate treasurers will be highly advantageous.
