Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Childcare & Supervision:
- Support the supervision of children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, toileting, and nap times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment.
Learning & Development:
- Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities.
- Support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
Classroom Support:
- Prepare learning materials and resources.
- Help set up and tidy classrooms before and after activities.
- Work closely with the Lead Teacher to implement lesson plans.
Safeguarding & Welfare:
- Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Report any concerns regarding a child’s welfare immediately.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Communication:
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Provide feedback to teachers on children’s progress and behaviour.
- Support parent interactions where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Minimum SSCE.
- 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
