Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cybersecurity Instructor to join our training team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering practical cybersecurity training, guiding students through hands-on exercises and projects, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to identify, prevent, and respond to cybersecurity threats.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver practical and theoretical cybersecurity training to students in line with approved course content.
- Guide students through hands-on exercises, simulations, labs, and cybersecurity projects.
- Teach fundamental cybersecurity concepts, tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Train students to identify, assess, prevent, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrate the use of relevant cybersecurity tools and technologies in practical learning environments.
- Design and facilitate practical assignments, assessments, and projects to evaluate students’ understanding and skills.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their technical abilities.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide additional guidance where necessary.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, tools, and best practices.
- Maintain a safe, ethical, and responsible learning environment when conducting cybersecurity exercises.
- Assist students with troubleshooting technical issues during practical sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, student performance, and training activities.
- Support the development and improvement of cybersecurity training materials and practical exercises.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or relevant professional qualification in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong practical experience in cybersecurity.
- Good knowledge of computer systems and networking.
- Understanding of ethical hacking and penetration testing.
- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and risk management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies.
- Understanding of common cyber threats, including malware, phishing, social engineering, and cyberattacks.
- Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students at different skill levels.
- Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or industry experience is an added advantage.
