Cybersecurity Architect (Freelance)

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading player in the Energy, Oil & Gas sector, a CyberSecurity Architect – Zero Trust, OT/IT & Cloud Security.

Role Purpose:

Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture, ensuring protection of critical OT/IT

assets, cloud environments, and enterprise platforms through zero-trust and industry-standard security frameworks.

Role Details:

• Reports to: CIO / Head of IT Strategy
• Location: Lagos, Nigeria
• Contract: Freelance - 6 months renewable
• Work Mode: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise security architecture and standards.

• Architect security controls for cloud, datacenters, OT networks, and enterprise

applications.

• Lead threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and secure-by-design practices.

• Define IAM, PAM, segmentation, encryption, and monitoring strategies.

• Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and ISA/IEC 62443 for OT environments.

• Support cybersecurity risk assessments and resilience planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline.

• 8–12 years' experience in security architecture.

• Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity, zero-trust, and cloud security.

• Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent.
