Job Summary
The Crusher Costing Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing the costs associated with crushing operations. This role focuses on cost control, budgeting, variance analysis, and operational efficiency to support decision-making and improve profitability within quarrying or mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare detailed cost reports for crusher operations (e.g., production, maintenance, labor, fuel, and materials).
· Analyze cost drivers and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
· Track and report cost per ton metrics and other key performance indicators.
· Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts for crushing operations.
· Monitor actual costs against budgets and highlight variances with actionable insights.
· Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to understand cost impacts.
· Provide financial insights to support production planning and equipment utilization.
· Conduct regular variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast).
· Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
· Maintain accurate costing data in ERP or financial systems.
· Ensure proper allocation of costs to relevant cost centers and projects.
· Identify opportunities to streamline costing processes and improve reporting accuracy.
· Support implementation of cost control measures and best practices.
· Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls.
· Support audits by providing required cost data and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in cost analysis, preferably in mining, quarrying, construction, or heavy industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of crushing operations or industrial production processes is an advantage.
