Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce credit risk policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and monitor credit exposures across all lending portfolios.
- Conduct credit analysis, risk rating, and portfolio stress testing.
- Review loan applications for compliance with internal credit standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepares credit risk reports and recommends strategies to minimize losses.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure risk controls and recovery strategies are in place.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking or credit risk management in the microfinance commercial banking industry
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Deep understanding of credit analysis, collateral management, and risk frameworks.
- Familiarity with CBN microfinance guidelines and lending policies.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and sound judgment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and credit management software.
