Our flagship program, The WayWaves Show, is a live, high-intensity broadcast that offers deep insight, thorough analysis, and culturally relevant commentary. We are searching for a Creative Content & Media Producer who is both a highly skilled creative technician and a camera-ready communicator.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role combines:

1. Live & Post-Production Media Expertise

(OBS broadcasting, editing, sound design, motion graphics, AI tools, and full production pipeline.)

2. Co-Hosting & On-Air Commentary

(Research, global analysis, communication, storytelling, camera presence.)

The ideal candidate is both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, powering the WayWaves Show on all levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES🎥 1. Live Production & Post-Production

• Set up and run all live broadcast operations using OBS Studio, including scenes, transitions, camera switching, overlays, and audio routing.
• Operate cameras, lighting, microphones, mixers, and multi-camera systems during live sessions.
• Troubleshoot issues in real time (audio feedback, frame drops, sync issues, network fluctuation, equipment failure).
• Create and deploy live broadcast graphics such as lower thirds, animated titles, countdowns, intro/outro videos, alerts, and overlays.
• Direct and coordinate live sessions, including timing cues, segment transitions, guest appearances, and anchor communication.
• Record and export live sessions into high-quality masters for repurposing.
• Edit full episodes, short clips, reels, promos, and cutdowns for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and the WayWayves platform.
• Perform color grading, audio cleanup, sound mixing, noise reduction, and final mastering.
• Use AI tools (Adobe AI, RunwayML, Descript, Firefly, ElevenLabs, etc.) to speed up graphics creation, video cleanup, transcription, and content repurposing.
• Organize production files, maintain backups, archive footage, and manage the entire media asset library.

🎙️ 2. On-Air Co-Hosting / Co-Anchoring

• Appear on camera confidently as a co-host of the WayWaves Show.
• Deliver insightful commentary on global issues, Nigerian socio-political matters, Christian worldview topics, business, culture, and world events.
• Hold intelligent, engaging live conversations with the Lead Anchor.
• Handle audience interactions, live chat contributions, guest interviews, and in-show improv.
• Maintain strong camera presence, composure, and energy during long broadcasts.

📚 3. Research & Content Development

• Track global news, trends, geopolitical events, financial shifts, cultural movements, and technology breakthroughs.
• Prepare talking points, show outlines, segment ideas, and critical analysis ahead of each broadcast.
• Write scripts, episode summaries, captions, and content breakdowns where needed.
• Research unpopular truths and deeper insights that align with WayWayves Media’s mission.
• Work with the Lead Anchor and content team to conceptualize new show formats, investigative features, or mini-documentaries.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCETechnical Media Skills

Proficiency in:

• OBS Studio (must be expert)
• Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Motion Graphics and broadcast animation
• Video Editing (fast turnaround & cinematic structure)
• Audio Engineering (mixing, voice enhancement, sound effects)
• Studio Lighting & Camera Operation
• AI tools for video, audio, and graphics production
• Managing live studio equipment, cables, connections, and setups

On-Air & Communication Skills

• Strong, articulate, confident on-camera presence
• Excellent verbal communication and structured thinking
• Ability to simplify complex issues for a broad audience
• Experience with live discussions and unscripted talking points
• Calm under pressure and skilled in real-time commentary

Research & Analytical Strength

• Deep curiosity about world events, culture, politics, economics, technology, and faith
• Ability to gather information quickly and form intelligent viewpoints
• Strong writing and analytical reasoning capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree or equivalent experience in Media Production, Mass Communication, Journalism, Film, or Digital Arts
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in video production or broadcasting
• Strong portfolio/showreel required
• Previous on-camera or hosting experience is an added advantage
