Event Planner
Job summary
The Event Planner is responsible for leading the creative vision and end-to-end planning of events, ensuring each project is innovative, memorable, and flawlessly executed. This role combines creative direction with event management by developing event concepts, overseeing branding and aesthetics, and coordinating logistics.

- Develop creative concepts, themes, and event strategies based on client briefs and business objectives.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate, social, promotional, and special events.
- Design event experiences, including décor, stage design, lighting, entertainment, branding, and guest engagement.
- Meet with clients to understand their vision, objectives, budget, and event requirements.
- Prepare event proposals, budgets, timelines, and project plans.
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, venues, decorators, caterers, entertainers, photographers, and production teams.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue setup, transportation, accommodation, registration, seating arrangements, and guest management.
- Direct creative teams, designers, stylists, decorators, and production staff to ensure consistency with the event concept.
- Supervise event setup, execution, troubleshooting, and breakdown to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Ensure all events comply with health, safety, legal, and company standards.
- Coordinate marketing and promotional activities for events where required.
- Manage event schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather client feedback, and prepare performance reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative event concepts.
- Identify opportunities to improve event quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Event Management, Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Hospitality Management, Fine Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Event Management, Project Management, or Creative Design are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in creative direction, event planning, event production, or project management.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple events from concept to completion.
- Strong creative thinking, innovation, and conceptual design skills.

- Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel when events require.
- Strong networking skills and an eye for current industry trends.
