Creative Designer

Responsibilities:

• Develop original design concepts for bespoke and ready-to-wear collections.
• Create sketches, mood boards, and digital illustrations to communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with tailors, pattern makers, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Research fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and techniques relevant to African and global markets.
• Meet with clients to understand their preferences and translate them into custom designs.
• Select fabrics, embellishments, and accessories suitable for each design.
• Ensure all designs meet quality standards and brand expectations.
• Participate in fittings and make necessary design adjustments.
• Contribute to branding, lookbooks, and promotional campaigns.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
• Must reside in Abuja.
• Proven experience as a fashion or creative designer (preferably in bespoke tailoring).
• Strong portfolio showcasing design creativity and technical skills.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools).
• Excellent sketching and visualization skills.
• Deep understanding of African textiles, patterns, and cultural influences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
