Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare budgets and monitor spending to ensure that they comply with company policies
- Analyze prospective investments to determine their viability and risk
- Prepare reports on financial status or progress of projects to upper management
- Ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s accounting system in a diligent manner
- Negotiate the terms of loans and other financial transactions with lenders and other parties
- Determine which investments are profitable based on interest rates, market conditions, and other factors
- Review financial statements to ensure that they are accurate and complete, and determine whether they are realistic or likely to be achieved
- Dealing with structuring and other transaction-related matters
- Liaise with business stakeholders across all levels to achieve transactional goals
- Manage relationships with banks and other stakeholders on financing requirements
- Maintain awareness of the changing business landscape to identify opportunities to drive both organic and inorganic growth
- Develop analytical frameworks and communicate financial concepts
- Gather and assess financial results; prepare financial reporting deliverables and explain trends and business drivers; uncover areas that are underperforming
- Primarily responsible for all filings, mandatory public notices, and documentation related to the public issuance of securities in the Nigerian capital market, working closely with the SEC, NSE, FMDQ OTC, and NASD
- Prepare investment teasers, information memorandums, and prospectuses relevant to specific transactions
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field.
- A minimum degree in Finance
- Certification: CFA, ACCA, ICAN, or MBA
- Strong ability to build, interpret, and analyze financial models.
- Proficiency in assessing investment returns, valuations, and risk factors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with internal teams, investors, banks, and regulators.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
