Content and Community Specialist
Job descriptions & requirements
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Content & Community Specialist who can turn a sharp content strategy into consistent, high-quality storytelling across social, YouTube, and web.
This is not a passive content role. You will own execution end-to-end, from idea shaping to publishing, while building a community that sees our brand as a companion in ambition, not just a product. You will translate themes like ambition, global mobility, and financial access into content that informs, inspires, and converts.
Job Description
Own end-to-end content execution: Plan, create, and publish high-quality content across Instagram, X, and LinkedIn, while collaborating with the design team to maintain a strong, consistent publishing cadence.
Drive long-form storytelling on YouTube: Support production of product demos, how-tos, long-form Global Africans stories, and original show/podcast formats; contribute to scripting, storyboarding, and packaging (titles, thumbnails, descriptions) to ensure clarity and performance.
Manage website and editorial content: Publish and maintain blog content, including The Playbook, Global Africans Guide, and product or brand updates. Ensure all our website content is clear and optimized for SEO in collaboration with the marketing team.
Build and engage the community: Actively manage interactions across platforms (comments, DMs, conversations), turn followers into a community of ambitious Africans, spotlight user stories, and create feedback loops between the audience and internal teams.
Coordinate content operations and brand initiatives: Own the content calendar, align cross-functional teams, and ensure brand consistency; support employer branding (thought leadership content, photoshoots, external publications) and contribute to PR efforts including CSR storytelling, partnerships, and flagship reports.
