Role Description This is an on-site, contract role for a Construction Project Manager based in Lagos. The Construction Project Manager will oversee end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects related to ceramic and porcelain tile facilities and installations. Responsibilities include defining project scopes, developing schedules, managing contractors and site teams, and ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. The role involves preparing and tracking project budgets, managing procurement and resource allocation, and coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and regulatory authorities. The Construction Project Manager will also monitor site progress, resolve issues, prepare status reports, and support continuous improvement in construction methods and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong project leadership skills, including Construction Project Management and general Project Management experience.
- Proficiency in Construction Management practices, including site supervision, quality control, and safety compliance.
- Experience with Project Coordination, including scheduling, stakeholder communication, and documentation.
- Solid Budgeting skills for planning, tracking, and controlling project costs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or related building environments.
- Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and permitting processes in Lagos or similar markets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, or equivalent construction/project management credentials) are an advantage.
