Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of building and construction projects from start to completion.
- Develop and monitor project timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules to ensure projects remain on track.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, material requirements, and overall project expenditure.
- Coordinate and manage contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with contractors and suppliers where required.
- Monitor project progress and conduct quality assurance checks to ensure work meets agreed specifications and standards.
- Identify and address project delays, cost overruns, quality concerns, and other potential risks.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, costs, and key issues while ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, construction management, or a similar role.
- Experience overseeing building or construction projects from planning through completion.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project timelines, costing, and materials.
- Proficiency in project management and construction software such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
