Compliance Officer
Job summary
The Compliance Officer is responsible for independently monitoring and assessing the Company's compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, Company policies, approved procedures, and corporate governance standards.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor compliance with Company policies, approved procedures, delegated authorities, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Maintain a register of statutory licences, permits, certifications, and regulatory obligations, ensuring timely renewals and filings.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and advise Management on potential compliance risks.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and audits across all departments and business activities.
- Investigate instances of non-compliance, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor the implementation and closure of agreed corrective actions.
- Review and recommend updates to Company policies and procedures to ensure continued regulatory compliance.
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and advise Management on their impact.
- Provide compliance guidance and awareness training to employees.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for Executive Management and the Board.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical business conduct throughout the Company.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience
- A minimum of a degree in a related field
Key Performance Indicators:
- Execute at least 95% of the annual compliance monitoring plan.
- Achieve 100% on-time renewal of statutory licences, permits, and registrations.
- Ensure 100% timely submission of required statutory and regulatory filings.
- Complete 100% of scheduled compliance audits and reviews.
- Submit compliance reports within agreed timelines.
- Ensure at least 90% implementation of agreed corrective actions within approved timelines.
- Reduce repeat compliance violations year-on-year.
- Conduct a minimum of four (4) compliance awareness sessions annually.
- Maintain an up-to-date compliance register at all times.
- Achieve zero regulatory fines, sanctions, or penalties resulting from compliance failures.
