Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Milsat’s compliance and regulatory framework in line with applicable laws, including NDPA/NDPR and GDPR.
  • Lead data privacy, governance, and protection initiatives, including DPIAs and privacy-by-design reviews.
  • Manage KYB, enhanced due diligence, UBO verification, vendor assessments, and third-party compliance.
  • Oversee regulatory engagements, operational licences, permits, and public-sector compliance requirements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including MSAs, SLAs, Data Transfer Agreements, and API licensing agreements.
  • Maintain the corporate risk register and identify, assess, and mitigate legal, regulatory, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Conduct compliance audits and maintain effective compliance monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Prepare compliance reports, risk updates, and regulatory submissions for executive management and the board.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Field Operations to ensure compliance is embedded across business activities.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in legal operations, regulatory compliance, data governance, or corporate law.
  • LL.B/BL or a relevant advanced qualification in law, governance, or risk management preferred.
  • Experience in technology, geospatial/data, telecommunications, infrastructure, or related sectors is preferred.
