Job summary

We are looking for an intellectually curious and detail-oriented Compensation & Benefits Analyst to serve as a key support within EISS's Human Capital Advisory team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and managing total rewards programs aligned with organizational goals and market trends.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct salary benchmarking, market research, and compensation surveys to evaluate internal equity and external competitiveness across industries.
  • Design, model, and refine base pay structures, salary bands, variable incentive plans, and commission models for internal roles and external client requests.
  • Perform job evaluations and grade positioning analyses to maintain consistent job architecture and pay transparency.
  • Evaluate, manage, and optimize employee benefits schemes including health insurance, group life insurance, pensions, and wellness initiatives.
  • Monitor total rewards expenditures, analyze benefit usage trends, and assess cost-efficiency to recommend enhancements to overall compensation packages.
  • Ensure total rewards programs comply with labor laws, statutory mandates, tax governance, and internal regulatory standards.
  • Manage monthly payroll calculations, deductions, and timely disbursement for internal staff and outsourced accounts.
  • Oversee statutory compliance and remittances, including PAYE tax, Pension, NHF, NSITF, and ITF across relevant regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, address employee payment inquiries, and maintain accurate statutory filing records for audit readiness.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in compensation and benefits, rewards management, HR analytics, or financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of job evaluation methodologies, salary benchmarking, pay grades, and incentive scheme design.
  • Knowledge of health benefits management, pensions, life assurance schemes, and executive remuneration strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with HRIS total rewards modules.
  • Ability to work professionally with clients and respond promptly to payroll-related requests.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee and client information with discretion.
  • You carefully review figures, employee information, and payroll inputs to identify errors before payroll is finalized.
  • You can manage payroll requirements across multiple client accounts while keeping track of different deadlines and employee changes.
  • You understand that even a small payroll error can significantly affect an employee's trust and experience.
