Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
- Provide legal advisory services across multiple companies within the group
- Represent the company in court and other legal proceedings
- Handle litigation matters and liaise with external counsel when necessary
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian laws and regulatory requirements
- Manage dispute resolution and risk mitigation strategies
- Maintain proper documentation of legal records and agreements
- Provide legal opinions to management on operational and strategic matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree (mandatory)
- Called to the Nigerian Bar
- Strong understanding of court procedures and litigation processes
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience (corporate and litigation experience preferred)
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Must be based in Lagos
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work across multiple companies and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and business-minded
