Company Lawyer

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance on real estate transactions, property acquisitions, sales, leases, and development projects
• Conduct legal due diligence and title verification for land and property transactions
• Ensure compliance with real estate laws, land use regulations, corporate governance requirements, and industry standards
• Manage land registration, perfection of title documents, and property documentation processes
• Advise management on legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, dispute resolution, negotiations, and regulatory engagements when required
• Liaise with government agencies, regulatory authorities, external solicitors, and other stakeholders
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the real estate sector and provide timely legal updates
• Assist with corporate legal matters, compliance requirements, and company secretarial functions where necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (LL.B) in Law
• Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) qualification and active membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
• Proven post-call experience, preferably in real estate, property law, corporate law, or commercial practice
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian property laws, land administration procedures, and corporate legal frameworks
• Proven experience handling real estate transactions, title verification, and legal documentation
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
