Role Description

This is a remote role located in Owerri for a Community Reporter. The Community Reporter will be responsible for covering community events, conducting interviews, writing news reports, creating multimedia content, and collaborating with team members to ensure impactful reporting in underserved Communities in your communities.
The role involves gathering accurate and timely information about ongoing developments within the community and presenting it in an engaging and ethical manner to the public. It must centre around Human rights abuse, Good governance, Rule of law and Anti corruption.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Reporting and News Writing to produce high-quality, timely, and accurate content about community events.
• Excellent Communication and Writing skills to effectively report information and engage with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Multimedia tools and techniques to create engaging digital content.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with ethical journalism practices and a commitment to upholding high professional standards.
• Relevant experience in community reporting or journalism is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is an advantage.
