Commercial Workshop Manager
Job summary
We are seeking a Commercial Workshop Manager to join us. You will be the on-ground leader responsible for generating revenue, building fleet partnerships, and ensuring shop efficiency. You will manage technicians, enforce SOPs, and report key metrics weekly to the remote owner. This is a high-impact, performance-driven role.
Job descriptions & requirements
Revenue & Commercial Focus (60%):
- Drive weekly car intake to achieve gross margin targets
- Acquire fleet and corporate accounts (ride-hailing, logistics, taxi, and corporate clients)
- Increase average ticket via upselling services and premium offerings
- Enforce pricing discipline and high-margin jobs
Operations & Execution (40%):
- Supervise the shop floor via the Operations & Parts Supervisor
- Track technician productivity and enforce accountability (target 90–95%)
- Ensure quality control and minimize comeback rates (<5%)
- Manage parts and inventory, monitor turnaround times
- Implement and enforce SOPs consistently
Reporting:
- Weekly KPI dashboard: cars in/out, gross margin, technician utilization, comeback rate, cash reconciliation, fleet pipeline
- Monthly financial report and projections.
- Proven track record running a workshop with ₦5M+ monthly gross margin
- Experienced in fleet acquisition & corporate sales
- Strong leadership
- Data-driven and comfortable with KPIs
- Hands-on problem-solving with a focus on commercial outcomes
- Ability to work independently under minimal oversight
- Basic financial literacy (margins, cash, revenue tracking)
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with the Nigerian automotive landscape
