Job summary
Responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of engineering projects, including cost control, contracts, tenders, variations, claims, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure projects remain commercially viable and profitable.

Responsibilities:
- Manage project contracts, budgets, costs, and commercial activities.
- Prepare tenders, quotations, valuations, and commercial reports.
- Monitor project costs, profitability, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Manage variations, claims, invoices, and payment processes.
- Review subcontractor and supplier commercial agreements.
- Negotiate with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Identify commercial risks and implement cost-control measures.
- Liaise with project and finance teams to ensure projects remain commercially viable.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an HND in quantity surveying, engineering, business administration, commercial management, or related field.
- 5–8 years’ experience in commercial management, contracts, quantity surveying, or project commercial operations, preferably within an engineering/construction firm.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, tendering, pricing, cost control, budgeting, and commercial reporting
- Experience managing contracts, variations, claims, valuations, invoices, and payment processes.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant commercial/project management software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Professional certification/membership such as RICS, NIQS, or a related body is an advantage.
