Collection Officer

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers to remind them of outstanding or overdue payments.
• Collect payments through approved methods, including cash, bank transfers, and checks.
• Issue receipts and accurately document all collections.
• Follow up on unpaid accounts and negotiate reasonable repayment plans where applicable.
• Prepare daily and weekly collection and reconciliation reports.
• Reconcile collected funds with the finance/accounts department.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers while enforcing payment terms.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legal guidelines.
• Escalate difficult or disputed accounts to management when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of SSCE or OND (higher qualifications are an advantage).
• Previous experience in a collection, recovery, or similar role is an added advantage.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Basic numeracy and record-keeping abilities.
• High level of honesty, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned targets.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time
• The role may involve fieldwork and local travel within Lagos.
• Flexible working hours may be required based on operational needs.

Location: Allen, Lagos

Remuneration: NGN 80,000 monthly
