Cleaner

Responsibilities:

Office Cleaning:

• Sweep, clean, and mop all office floors daily.
• Clean office furniture, desks, chairs, windows, and doors.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse appropriately.
• Ensure restrooms and staff welfare areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Maintain a neat and professional office environment at all times.

Bakery Production Area Cleaning:

• Sweep and mop bakery floors regularly throughout the day.
• Remove flour dust, dough residue, and other production waste promptly.
• Clean worktables, racks, trays, proofing areas, and production surfaces.
• Ensure walkways and production areas remain free from hazards and obstructions.
• Maintain cleanliness before, during, and after production.

Equipment and Machine Cleaning:

• Clean mixers, ovens, slicers, cooling racks, and other bakery equipment after use and as directed.
• Remove dough, grease, crumbs, and production residue from machines.
• Follow approved cleaning and sanitation procedures for all equipment.
• Report any machine defects, damage, or maintenance concerns immediately.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned without causing damage to components.

Waste Management:

• Collect and dispose of bakery waste according to company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness around waste collection points.
• Ensure waste bins are cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Health, Safety, and Hygiene:

• Adhere strictly to bakery hygiene and food safety standards.
• Wear assigned protective equipment when carrying out cleaning duties.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Report spillages, safety hazards, pest sightings, or sanitation concerns immediately.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

General Duties:

• Support deep-cleaning exercises as scheduled.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks assigned by management.
• Ensure the bakery premises remain presentable throughout working hours.
• Carry out any other cleaning-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a bakery production environment.
• Physically fit and capable of standing, lifting, and cleaning for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain hygiene standards.
• Prior cleaning experience in a bakery, food production facility, or similar environment is an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Office floors are swept and mopped at least twice daily.
• Production floors are maintained in a clean condition throughout operations.
• All assigned equipment is cleaned after production.
• Waste bins are emptied and cleaned daily.
• Deep cleaning of bakery equipment and designated areas completed.
• No unresolved cleanliness complaints.
• Full compliance with cleaning schedules.
• Minimum 95% cleanliness inspection score.
• Zero incidents arising from poor sanitation or housekeeping.
• Consistent adherence to cleaning and hygiene procedures.
