Job summary
We are delivering Phase 1 of the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI Phase 1), a nationwide EPC Power Transmission Project across Nigeria. We are seeking a highly driven Project Civil Engineer to oversee structural assessments, manage civil works site development, and ensure technical quality supporting our transmission infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee civil engineering assessments and site evaluations for power transmission lines, tower foundations, and substation projects across 8 target states.
- Review technical designs, blueprints, structural drawings, and geotechnical reports to ensure engineering feasibility.
- Supervise civil works contractors and site teams to ensure tower foundations, structural steel alignments, and substation earthworks meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with government agencies, utilities, local planning authorities, and consultants to clear structural permits and engineering approvals.
- Support procurement and tendering teams with accurate material take-offs and civil construction schedules during pre-qualification and bid submissions.
- Prepare regular engineering progress reports, quality-control assessments, and project logs, ensuring strict legal and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering fields.
- Minimum 4 years of site engineering or construction management experience, with a mandatory background in high-voltage Power Transmission Line projects (e.g., substation civils, transmission line foundations, tower footings). [Experience in Transmission Lines is a MUST].
- Mandatory registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) as a Registered Engineer.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian building codes, soil profiles, and power sector institutions affecting infrastructure rollout (e.g., TCN, REA).
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Orion) and project scheduling tools.
- Proven site supervision capability, strict adherence to safety standards (HSE), and a results-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Experience working with Chinese or international EPC companies is highly preferred.
Working Conditions & Compensation:
- Competitive base salary plus travel support during field deployments.
- Shared company accommodation (2–3 per room) and daily workplace transportation provided. (Candidates must provide their own laptop; meals are self-prepared in a shared kitchen).
- Frequent travel and field deployment across 8 target project states for site supervision. Overtime is paid in accordance with company policy.
