Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and manage construction projects from inception to completion
- Prepare, review, and approve structural designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Ensure projects are executed in line with approved designs, budgets, timelines, and quality standards
- Coordinate daily site activities and provide technical leadership to site teams
- Monitor construction progress and resolve technical and operational issues on site
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project sites
- Manage and evaluate the performance of contractors, consultants, and site personnel
- Liaise with architects, engineers, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders
- Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to management
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and best construction practices
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4-10 years post-qualification experience in civil engineering and construction
- Proven experience delivering real estate and building construction projects
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate site teams
- Excellent project management, supervision, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and drafting software
- Sound knowledge of structural design principles and construction methods
- Ability to manage contractors, consultants, and subcontractors effectively
- Strong understanding of construction standards, quality control, and health & safety regulations
- BSc or HND in Civil Engineering
- MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering is an added advantage
- Registered with COREN
