Cinematographer

Responsibilities:

• Interpret scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs to develop the visual style for each production.
• Plan and execute all aspects of cinematography — including camera setup, lens selection, composition, and camera movement.
• Design and manage lighting setups that support the mood, tone, and visual direction of the scene.
• Collaborate with directors and production designers to achieve the desired visual aesthetics.
• Operate and maintain professional cinema, DSLR, and mirrorless cameras during shoots.
• Supervise camera crew, gaffers, grips, and lighting assistants on set.
• Work closely with the editor and colourist to ensure continuity and visual integrity through post-production.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and techniques in cinematography and filmmaking.
• Manage camera equipment inventory, rentals, and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proficient in camera operation (Canon C-series, Sony FX series, Blackmagic, RED, etc.).
• Expert knowledge of camera lenses, focal lengths, and depth of field.
• Strong grasp of lighting techniques (key/fill/rim, natural light, colour temperature balance).
• Understanding of frame composition, blocking, and camera movement (dolly, gimbal, handheld).
• Experience in colour grading direction using DaVinci Resolve or similar tools.
• Familiarity with video formats and codecs (H.264, ProRes, RAW, etc.).#
• Ability to work with green screens, chroma key setups, and VFX integration.
• Experience in multi-camera setups and studio lighting.
• Basic sound awareness and ability to coordinate with sound teams.
• Drone cinematography experience (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ensure all captured footage meets professional exposure, framing, and focus standards.
