Business Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overall business and commercial operations of the cinema.
• Develop strategies to drive revenue through ticket sales, food and beverage, memberships, private screenings, events, and other revenue streams.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against targets.
• Prepare and analyse business performance reports and provide recommendations to Management.
• Develop and manage budgets while ensuring effective cost control.
• Monitor operating expenses, inventory, wastage, and other areas affecting profitability.
• Identify new business opportunities, corporate partnerships, private bookings, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Operations teams to improve customer acquisition, retention, and revenue.
• Ensure the cinema maintains its luxury brand standards and delivers an exceptional guest experience.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve business performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Support the planning and execution of VIP experiences, premieres, private screenings, and corporate events.
• Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, HSE requirements, and operational procedures.
• Provide regular updates to Management on business performance, opportunities, and challenges.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

• B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Management, Hospitality Management, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in business management, hospitality, cinema, retail, entertainment, or a similar commercial environment.
• Previous experience managing a luxury or premium customer-facing business is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in revenue generation, budgeting, cost control, and business performance management.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of revenue and profitability drivers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop and implement business growth strategies.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and business reporting tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Professional appearance and ability to represent a premium luxury brand.
