Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate oral and written translations from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Interpret spoken communication during meetings and on-site interactions between Chinese management and Nigerian staff.
- Facilitate effective communication between the Head of the Department, Chinese management, and workers.
- Translate production documents, daily reports, work instructions, and technical materials.
- Assist in communicating production targets, work schedules, and operational procedures to production staff.
- Provide translation support during meetings, technical training, and equipment operation instructions.
- Help resolve communication gaps between Chinese supervisors and Nigerian workers to ensure smooth production operations.
- Act as a cultural bridge between Chinese and Nigerian employees, promoting clear communication and mutual understanding.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. degree with 2 - 3 years of experience.
- Proven experience in translation and interpretation.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Experience studying or working in China is a plus
- Should be responsible and have good management skills.
