Responsibilities:
- Translate documents, articles, reports, and multimedia content from Chinese to English
- Ensure translations are accurate culturally appropriate and consistent with the intended tone
- Proofread and edit translations for grammar clarity and style
- Collaborate with team members, editors, and clients to clarify meaning and terminology
- Use translation tools and software to maintain consistency and efficiency
- Conduct research to understand industry-specific terminology and context
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple translation projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field preferred
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and native-level proficiency in English
- Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, ideally in a professional setting
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
- Familiarity with translation software (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, and Wordfast) is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
