We are seeking a skilled Chinese Translator to bridge communication between Mandarin Chinese and English. The ideal candidate will accurately translate written and spoken content while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural context. Responsibilities:
- Translation: Accurately translate written materials, including reports, emails, technical manuals, and contracts, while maintaining original context and intent.
- Interpretation: Provide real-time simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences, and phone calls.
- Localization: Adapt content, marketing materials, and product information for the target audience to ensure cultural relevance and clarity.
- Review & Editing: Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards.
- Terminology Management: Research and apply industry-specific terminology (technical, legal, scientific, or business-related) to ensure precision.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive business, legal, and personal information with the highest level of discretion.
- Administrative Support: Assist managers with daily tasks.
Requirements:
- Native or bilingual fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
- 1–3 years of professional translation or interpretation experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Chinese Studies, or a related field.
