Chief Digital Officer

Responsibilities:

Vision and Strategy:

• Setting a vision for the deployment and usage of technology by the company.
• Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.
• Discovering and implementing new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
• Helping the business use technology profitably.
  
• Staying on top of technology trends and developments.

Leadership and Decision Making:

• Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.
• Acting as a mentor to team members.
• Drive digital innovation and serve as a change agent throughout the organization.
• Be an evangelist, championing the use of digital technology and practices to engender a digital mindset from the top down.

Performance Monitoring and Compliance:

• Monitoring KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
• Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
• Measure ROI for digital projects, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure that we’re investing in the appropriate tools and resources.
• Ensuring adherence to strong I.T governance framework to protect the business.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital best practices among partners and colleagues to help establish a robust digital ecosystem.
• Communicating technology strategy to partners and investors.
• Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and delivering IT projects to market.
• Using stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
  

Security and Infrastructure:

• Ensuring the business is well protected against cybersecurity attacks.
• Supervising system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Building quality assurance and data protection processes.

• Knowledge of solutions/enterprise architecture, Data & Risk Management.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (MBA or other relevant post-graduate degrees will be an added advantage).
• Proven experience as a CDO or similar leadership role.
• 10 Years cognate experience (with at least 5 years in a Managerial role).
