Chief Technology Officer

• Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Establish execution standards and operating cadence.

Technical Strategy:

• Lead architectural decisions across web, mobile, AI, data, security, and compliance.
• Decide what to build, buy, maintain, and retire.

• Ensure a robust and audit-ready platform. Maintain strong standards around multi-tenant isolation, observability, security, and operational excellence.

• Define how AI coding assistants and agentic workflows are used effectively across the organisation, including where human review remains essential.

• Source, evaluate, close, and onboard engineering talent.

• Proven experience shipping both consumer and B2B SaaS products at scale across web and mobile platforms through multiple production release cycles.
• Strong technical fluency across our stack: ( Backend: Node.js (v22+), Express, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Redis, Frontend: React, Vite, MUI, TanStack Query Mobile: React Native (iOS first, Android planned) Cloud: Microsoft Azure, including Container Apps, Key Vault, and PostgreSQL Flexible Server Security: JWT, RBAC, multi-tenant isolation, encryption key management, PII protection, and audit logging
• Demonstrated mastery of Claude and modern AI-assisted software development workflows.
• AI tooling should already be a meaningful part of your daily engineering practice.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• You set high standards, attract strong engineers, create accountability, and help teams perform under pressure.
• Founder or co-founder mindset.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity, making decisions quickly, and building from zero
• Experience working in regulated environments such as tax, financial services, payments, compliance, or consumer protection.

• Tax, accounting, fintech, or financial software experience
• Experience working with payment infrastructure such as ACH, Stripe, mobile money, Apple In- App Purchases, or Google Play Billing
• Previous experience as a CTO or VP of Engineering through a Series A growth stage
