Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end customs clearance across all active port commands
- Manage the full container lifecycle from arrival through empty return
- Oversee demurrage, detention, and haulage contractor performance
- Drive job profitability across all active accounts
- Manage senior client relationships at the Tier 1 account level
- Lead six direct reports across clearing, transport, admin, customer service, and key accounts
- Chair the weekly cross-functional leadership meeting
Requirements:
- 10–12 years of operational experience, minimum 5 years at a senior level
- Hands-on freight forwarding and customs clearing experience in Nigeria
- Transport and haulage management experience
- Senior engagement with NCS, NPA, and port regulatory bodies
- Demonstrated P&L accountability across multi-departmental operations
- BSc/HND minimum; MBA is an advantage
