Job summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations, lead departmental managers, and support the transition from founder-led operations to a structured, high-performing, and systems-driven organization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily operations across all business functions.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement.
- Manage, coach, and develop department heads and operational teams.
- Implement performance management systems and operational KPIs.
- Improve customer service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Establish stronger accountability, governance, and execution discipline across the organization.
- Partner with the CEO to execute strategic initiatives and organizational transformation.
- Monitor business performance and ensure consistent execution across all branches.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Develop policies, procedures, and systems that support business growth.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Ensure teams meet agreed service standards, timelines, and performance expectations.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- A Master’s degree, such as an MBA, M.Sc., or equivalent qualification.
- Six to ten years of progressive leadership experience.
- Strong experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and improving operational performance.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and people management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing operational systems, processes, policies, and KPIs.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly accountable environment.
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when required.
- Relevant professional certifications in management, leadership, logistics, or supply chain management are an added advantage.

Location: Ajao Estate, Lagos.
Remuneration: NGN 600,000 – 700,000.
