Chief Operating Officer
Job summary
The Chief Operating Officer will provide administrative and operational leadership for the hospital. The successful candidate will coordinate daily operations, implement management policies, support workforce and service-provider onboarding, and promote efficient, professional and patient-focused service delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the hospital's daily clinical support and non-clinical operations.
- Translate hospital policies, strategies and objectives into effective operational plans.
- Coordinate departments to support safe, timely and seamless service delivery.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, administrative systems and internal controls.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with patients, employees, healthcare professionals, vendors, partners and other stakeholders.
- Lead operational quality-improvement initiatives and promote excellent patient care and customer service.
- Support employee recruitment, orientation, onboarding and performance management.
- Coordinate the selection, onboarding and performance monitoring of vendors, contractors and partners.
- Ensure the availability of essential supplies, functional equipment and reliable support services.
- Monitor operational performance and prepare regular management reports.
- Support compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards and hospital policies.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, procurement and efficient use of hospital resources.
- Promote a safe, ethical, accountable and collaborative work environment.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by the Chief Medical Director.
Requirements:
- At least a bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, hospital management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in hospital, medical or healthcare administration.
- Good knowledge of hospital administration and operational processes.
- Strong leadership, organisation, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate teams and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Very good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital administrative systems.
- Integrity, professionalism, accountability and commitment to patient-centred service.
Remuneration: NGN 350,000 Monthly
