Job summary
We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Chief of Staff for a large retail chain, supporting the Executive Director, Strategy & Innovation in advancing key strategic priorities. The role drives cross-functional coordination, translates strategy into actionable plans, and ensures initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of enterprise-wide strategy and innovation initiatives led by the Strategy & Innovation function.
- Translate strategic priorities into detailed execution plans, workstreams, timelines and KPIs.
- Track progress of strategic initiatives and escalate risks or delays proactively.
- Coordinate multiple strategic and innovation projects across business units (Retail, Labs/Diagnostics, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Marketing, HR).
- Ensure alignment between project owners, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Prepare briefs, presentations and strategy papers.
- Manage meeting agendas, follow-ups and execution of agreed actions.
- Support ideation, evaluation, and implementation of new business initiatives, partnerships and pilot programmes.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis and business case development.
- Support go-to-market planning for new products, services or platforms.
- Serve as a central coordination point between the Strategy & Innovation function and other departments.
- Drive alignment, manage dependencies, and resolve execution bottlenecks.
- Liaise with external partners, consultants, and advisors where required.
- Support governance processes for strategy and innovation initiatives.
- Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and strategic objectives.
- Ensure documentation, approvals, and decision logs are properly maintained.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-6 years of experience in strategy, consulting, operations, innovation, legal or project management roles.
- Prior experience working closely with senior executives or leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in healthcare, finance, retail, FMCG and Oil and Gas or other regulated sectors is an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability.
- Excellent project and programme management skills.
- High-quality analytical, research, and presentation skills.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing ability.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
