Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Rigo Capital's investment strategy, policy framework, and capital allocation approach
- Identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities across relevant asset classes
- Build and manage the investment portfolio, balancing risk and return in line with group objectives
- Conduct market research, financial analysis, and due diligence on potential investments
- Establish and maintain relationships with fund managers, financial institutions, and investment partners
- Monitor portfolio performance
- Ensure all investment activity complies with applicable Nigerian financial regulations and governance standards
- Advise the board on market trends, emerging opportunities, and strategic financial decisions
- Develop risk management frameworks to protect group assets and ensure long-term sustainability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage
- Professional certification, such as CFA, ICAN, or ACCA
- 8–12 years of experience in investment management, asset management, portfolio analysis, or a related financial services role
- Strong understanding of capital markets, investment vehicles, and financial instruments
- Proven ability to evaluate investment opportunities and manage risk
- Solid knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and build systems with minimal precedent
