Job summary
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. This is not a conventional finance role. While financial stewardship sits at the core of your mandate, you will operate as a key growth architect — bridging financial operations with capital strategy, investor engagement, and business development.

- Own end-to-end financial management including accounting, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian tax laws, FIRS regulations, CAMA requirements, and all relevant statutory obligations.
- Design and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, delivering timely and accurate management accounts.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and treasury functions with precision and accountability.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and build relationships with potential investors — including angel investors, VCs, PE firms, and strategic partners — both locally and internationally.
- Develop compelling investment memoranda, pitch decks, financial models, and due diligence documentation to support fundraising efforts.
- Lead and coordinate investor meetings, negotiations, and deal structuring in collaboration with the CEO and Board.
- Earn performance-based commission for every successfully closed investment round you originate or facilitate — a direct reward for your hustle and results.
- Monitor investor relations post-close, ensuring reporting obligations and relationship continuity are maintained.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO, Board, and department heads, translating numbers into actionable business intelligence.
- Drive strategic financial planning, scenario analysis, and KPI frameworks that guide company-wide decision-making.
- Evaluate business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives from a financial viability perspective.
- Support commercial negotiations, pricing strategy, and contract structuring with data-backed insights.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with legal counsel on corporate governance, financing agreements, and compliance matters.
- Prepare board-level financial presentations and contribute to overall corporate strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree (MBA or MSc Finance) is a strong advantage.
- Professional certification is mandatory: ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership finance role.
- Demonstrated experience in capital raising, investor relations, or financial business development is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax frameworks (FIRS, LIRS), and IFRS accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero), and advanced Excel.
- Strategic thinker with the commercial acumen to connect financial data to business outcomes.
- Confident networker with the presence and communication skills to engage C-level executives and investors.
