Chief Executive Officer - Insurance Brokerage

The KOKO Group is seeking a talented individual to lead the strategic direction, growth, and overall performance of an insurance brokerage subsidiary in Lagos.

This is a full-time, on-site role strategic leadership role for a professional to work with operational knowledge of brokerage business, business growth and development, governance and compliance with NAICOM regulations etc.

The ideal candidate will manage the overall operations of the company as well as develop and implement strategies that meet the needs of the customers, the stakeholders, and the employees. They will be responsible for making key decisions and executing the culture of the company. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business plan and strategy for growth and profitability
• Build and manage client relationships across markets and sectors
• Lead, hire, and develop the team required for sustainable growth
• Oversee compliance, risk, and operational excellence
• Report directly to the Territory Director

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in insurance brokerage, including 2+ years in senior leadership
• Proven experience in the startup of an insurance brokerage firm
• Registered with the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB)
• Must be a member of Insurance Professional body: CIIN, AIIN, ACII, CFA, CIS or CISI
• Must have at least 10 years post-graduation work experience (5 of which must be in a similar capacity) within a financial institution environment -Insurance, Insurance Brokerage
• The Ideal candidate must demonstrate a track record of performance in the insurance or finance business
