Job summary
The Centre Marketer is responsible for driving student enrolment, generating qualified leads, developing institutional and community partnerships, and increasing the visibility and revenue performance of the Umuahia Centre.

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Student Enrolment:
- Generate qualified leads and convert prospects into student registrations and enrolments.
- Promote the Centre's training programmes, courses, certifications and other approved products and services.
- Conduct regular field marketing activities within Umuahia and surrounding locations.
- Follow up on enquiries, prospective students and previously generated leads until conversion or closure.
- Meet assigned weekly and monthly enrolment and revenue targets.
School & Institutional Marketing:
- Identify and approach secondary schools, tertiary institutions, organisations, businesses and other potential partners within the territory.
- Develop relationships with school administrators, student bodies, youth organisations and relevant community groups.
- Facilitate presentations, career talks, school visits and promotional activities aimed at generating enrolments.
- Identify opportunities for institutional training, partnerships and group registrations.
Market Development:
- Continuously identify new markets and opportunities for the Centre's programmes and services.
- Gather information on competitors, market demand, pricing, customer preferences and emerging training needs.
- Recommend marketing initiatives that can improve the Centre's visibility and commercial performance.
- Support approved campaigns, activations, events, exhibitions and promotional programmes.
Lead Management & Customer Engagement:
- Maintain an accurate database of prospects, leads, contacts and marketing activities.
- Follow up prospective students through telephone calls, WhatsApp, email and physical visits where appropriate.
- Provide prospective students and clients with accurate information regarding available programmes, admission requirements and approved fees.
- Maintain professional relationships with prospective and existing customers.
Reporting & Accountability:
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly marketing activity reports as required.
- Maintain records of organisations and schools visited, contacts made, leads generated, follow-ups conducted and conversions achieved.
- Provide regular updates on the status of the marketing pipeline.
- Account appropriately for approved marketing materials and resources assigned for field activities.
- Participate in Centre performance and marketing review meetings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Management or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in marketing, sales, business development or customer acquisition is desirable.
- Experience marketing educational, training or professional-development services will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Owerri and the surrounding business, school and student environment is highly desirable.
- Strong sales and marketing ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability to generate and follow up leads independently.
- Target-driven and results-oriented approach.
- Good relationship-building and networking ability.
- Basic digital marketing and social media knowledge.
- Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to conduct field marketing activities effectively.
- Professional appearance and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while remaining accountable for assigned targets.
