Caregiver

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and support to the elderly woman, ensuring her comfort and well-being.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
• Help with mobility and walking, ensuring safety and preventing falls.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Remind the client to take prescribed medication according to the family’s instructions and established schedule.
• Monitor the client’s general well-being and promptly report any unusual changes to the family.
• Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and daily interaction.
• Keep the client’s immediate surroundings clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Assist with light household duties related to the client’s care.
• Accompany the client to medical appointments when required.
• Treat the client with dignity, patience, respect, and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience caring for elderly people is an advantage.
• Compassionate, patient, kind, and trustworthy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Physically capable of supporting the client with mobility, where necessary.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of elderly care, hygiene, and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate concerns promptly.
• Honest, reliable, respectful, and emotionally mature.
• Willingness to work in Ebonyi State.
• Relevant caregiving training or certification is an added advantage.
